“God does the work of the word in the last days, and such words are that of the Holy Spirit, for God is the Holy Spirit and can also become flesh; therefore, the words of the Holy Spirit, as spoken of in the past, are the words of the incarnate God today. … For God to speak utterances to carry out work, He must become flesh, else His work cannot accomplish His goal” (from “How Can Man Who Has Defined God in His Conceptions Receive the Revelations of God?” in The Word Appears in the Flesh).
He had believed in the Lord since childhood, and in 2002 accepted the
gospel of the kingdom of Almighty God. In 2003, he was arrested because
of preaching the gospel, during which time he was slapped in the face,
punched, kicked, and doused in cold water by police. After that he was
sentenced to a year of re-education through labor. Once his sentence was
completed and he was released, he had no choice but to become a
fugitive in order to avoid being arrested again by the police …
China’s deteriorating freedom of religious belief has long been a focus of the international community, which has repeatedly condemned the Chinese Communist government. The suppression and persecution of religious belief by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has continued to escalate since Xi Jinping took power. On June 27, a conference entitled Freedom of Religion or Belief and The Right to Asylum: The Case of China was held at the European Parliament in Brussels. During the conference, it was reported that freedom of religious belief in China has reached its worst level since the Cultural Revolution. At least 1.5 million people—including Xinjiang Muslims, Tibetan Buddhists, Catholics, Protestants, and Christians from The Church of Almighty God (CAG)—have been arrested and sent to prison or re-education camps for no reason other than their faith. The conference also pointed out that the CCP’s systematic persecution suffered by The Church of Almighty God Christians has been especially severe. These Christians have been arbitrarily detained, tortured, and imprisoned; some have even died or been left disabled as a result of their mistreatment. Participants in the conference called on the international community to urge the Chinese Communist government to respect freedom of religious belief, stop persecuting people of faith, and take note of the issue of asylum for Christians from The Church of Almighty God.
Gangqiang is a Christian. He saw how great is the Lord's love of man and
His pity for man, and he resolved many times that he would love the
Lord, satisfy the Lord, implement the word of the Lord, and conduct
himself as a person praised by the Lord. But when he gave practical
effect to the Lord's word, he discovered that on himself there were many
corrupt and rebellious things-selfishness, arrogance, lying and
cheating and so on. These corrupt dispositions were holding him back,
and he did not have the strength at all to give effect to the Lord's
words. For this reason, he was extremely distressed, and he often called
out to the Lord for help. Gangqiang later went to the United States to
work and there he became acquainted with Sister Zhao of The Church of
Almighty God. Through Sister Zhao's communication and bearing witness to
Almighty God's work of the last days, and having read some of the words
of Almighty God, Gangqiang came to know that the Lord Jesus had already
returned, and that He had undertaken the work of judging and cleansing
man, pointing out to man the path to resolve his sinful nature.
Gangqiang's heart was enlightened, and he happily accepted God's work of
the last days, and he came before the throne of God. By reading the
word of Almighty God, he understood some truths, and his gloomy life was
illuminated by the words of God …
In order to make a place of her own on this earth, the protagonist was
obliged to follow the trends of this world, rushing about and working
hard for the sake of fame and status. Her life was particularly empty
and painful. After she believed in Almighty God, she found in the words
of Almighty God the meaning of human life and, filled with joy, she
followed God and fulfilled her duties. However, as her heart was under
the control of fame and status, in fulfilling her duties she often acted
in accordance with her own ideas, and she was arbitrary and
dictatorial. For this reason, she was pruned and dealt with by the
brothers and sisters. To begin with, she argued and would not concede.
Through the judgment and chastisement of God's words, she came to know
the truth of her corruption. However, because she did not understand
God's intent, she misunderstood God and thought God would not save her.
At this time, God's word little by little enlightened her, guided her,
and made her understand God's earnest intention in saving man, and she
experienced God's true love of mankind …
