Will the Lord Change His Image When He Returns

the Bible, Lord Jesus, grace, raptured, salvation,

Hello brothers and sisters of Our Daily Devotionals,

There is a question that I’d like to ask. As it is said in the Bible, “You men of Galilee, why stand you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven” (Act 1:11), I’ve always thought that since the Lord Jesus ascended to heaven bearing the image and clothes of a Jew, He shall descend among us in the image of a Jew when He comes back. However, during a meeting, the preacher said that this prophecy doesn’t exactly say the Lord will descend in the image of a Jewish man, and that as we human beings are unable to fathom the mysteries in the prophecies, we cannot determine that the image of the returned Lord will be that of a Jew based on our imaginings, otherwise we will be very likely to miss the opportunity to welcome the Lord. So I’m very confused now. Will the Lord appear to us in the image of a Jewish man when He comes back? If He changes His image, how can we recognize Him and welcome His return? As for this question, I hope I can receive your answer.

Gospel Q&A | Many people believe that believing in God means never straying from the Bible and that straying from the Bible means betraying God. Is this kind of view correct?

Lord Jesus, the Bible, God’s work, the truth, salvation,

    The Answer from God’s Word:

The Jewish Pharisees used the law of Moses to condemn Jesus. They did not seek compatibility with the Jesus of that time, but diligently followed the law to the letter, to the extent that they ultimately nailed the innocent Jesus to the cross, having charged Him with not following the law of the Old Testament and not being the Messiah. What was their essence? Was it not that they didn’t seek the way of compatibility with the truth? They obsessed over each and every word of the Scripture, while paying no heed to My will and the steps and methods of My work. They were not people who sought the truth, but people who rigidly followed the words of Scripture; they were not people who believed in God, but people who believed in the Bible. Essentially, they were watchdogs of the Bible. In order to safeguard the interests of the Bible, and uphold the dignity of the Bible, and protect the reputation of the Bible, they went so far as to nail the merciful Jesus onto the cross. This they did merely for the sake of defending the Bible, and for the sake of maintaining the status of each and every word of the Bible in people’s hearts. So they preferred to forsake their future and the sin offering to condemn Jesus, who did not conform to the doctrine of Scripture, to death. …

I
Who speaks most pleasant word? Nourishes my heart.
Who gives me most beautiful love? Captures my heart.
Who does most wonderful work? Cleanses corruption of man.
Who gives me a great salvation? Brings me before the throne.
Practical God, my beloved, You are in my heart.
Practical God, my beloved, my heart belongs to You.
Who has given me a true life? I see the light again.
Who is my loveliest One? For me to often miss.

The Church of Almighty God | Christian Variety Show "Eyes Everywhere"

The crosstalk Eyes Everywhere describes how the Chinese Communist Party attempts to banish religion through using large-scale searches across the country, as well as turning people from every class and walk of life into eyes to investigate, monitor, and surveil Christians. Through a humorous, vivid performance, this comedy duo shows us all the despicable methods and detestable intentions with which the CCP arrests Christians, and at the same time shows us how Christians rely on God to avoid one pair of eyes after another, spread the gospel, and testify God.

Zhen Cheng was the owner of an appliance repair shop. He was kind, honest, and did business by the book. He would never try to pull the wool over someone's eyes, but he was only making enough money to barely support his family. After a time, a family member and a fellow tradesman urged him to practice the unwritten rules of business, and Zhen Cheng began to believe in sayings that represent a satanic philosophy such as: "A man without a second income will never get rich just like a horse starved of hay at night will never put on weight," "The bold die of gluttony; the timid die of starvation," "Money isn't everything, but without it, you can do nothing," and "Money is first." Zhen Cheng lost his good conscience that had guided him before and began using underhanded means to earn more money. Even though he earned more money than he had previously, and his living standards improved, Zhen Cheng nonetheless felt unhappy and a feeling of emptiness plagued him; life was hollow and fraught with suffering.

Welcome the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus "O God, You Know I'm Missing You"

Welcome the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus | "O God, You Know I'm Missing You" (Christian Music Video)

I

My heart’s deeply attached to You. But I feel unworthy of Your love.
Too humble to be in the presence of You, how worried and uneasy I am!
I can only make up my mind; offer my whole being to You.
I will suffer for You, suffer all hardships, till the last breath of my life.
God! You know that I am waiting, waiting for You to come back.
God, please don’t forget about me. I can’t live without You!
